Palm Beach Sydney – Day Trips:
Sydney’s far north – specifically Palm Beach – is where the bush meets the sophistication of our beautiful city. Our seaplane base at Barrenjoey (Palm Beach) is located on Pittwater, where we overlook the western edge of the superb National Park and behind us is the Tasman Sea with its magnificent surf beach. Towering over this stunning location is the historic Barrenjoey Lighthouse atop Barrenjoey Headland.
Our Seaplane flight from Rose Bay travels at low level along the magnificent coastline from the harbour past Manly, Collaroy, Mona Vale, Newport, Avalon, Whale Beach to arrive in style at our private seaplane base at Barrenjoey , Palm Beach, where you will enjoy a 3 hour stop-over.
Things to do include a walk to the lighthouse, a stroll or surf on the ocean side of the peninsula, hire a boat or kayak, or stand up paddle board for a few hours, or have lunch at one of the local cafe’s or restaurants. Grab a take-away at a kiosk nearby or sit down to a lovely meal at the Boathouse or Dunes all within a few minutes of our seaplane base. If you are a fan of Home and Away, you can also explore the area where filming takes place here at “Summer Bay”.
Steve will fly you back to Rose Bay via the beautiful beaches to conduct a double orbit at the Harbour Bridge and Opera House – allowing you plenty of opportunities for photographs of the city and its icons. This destination is one of our most popular for couples , for families and small groups.

Located at our northern seaplane base at Barrenjoey – Palm Beach the Boathouse cafe offers a beach-side setting, fresh modern Australian cuisine. Both decks of this amazing establishment overlook beautiful Pittwater – offering spectacular views of the National Park and the Hawkesbury River mouth. Ideal for those seeking a less formal restaurant setting.
Our seaplane flight departs Rose Bay via Sydney Heads following the glorious beaches and headlands all the way to Palm Beach where you disembark at our private base at Palm Beach on Pittwater, just a few steps from the cafe entrance.
